Running in the snow

I thought that running in the snow was just inbred in the American psyche or something, but apparently all normal people wonder at these snow-runners just like I do!

Hilarious and spot on!

Hey have you tried running in soft snow, fallen to abt 8-10 inches? It feels really cool! I had to do that at Jungfraujoch in Switzerland when I was getting late for my train back but I was running downhill and I felt like a kid again! :) Thankfully the ground was plain beneath my feet :D

I think sometimes walking/running in the snow is like doing the same on sand. But more than the snow, it's the cold. You know what our highest temperature these past week has been? 10F! And it's windy to boot. And still these runners (nutters) go on and on, slipping and sliding.

On a slightly different note, I'm beginning to see why those Innuits have 50 different names for snow. I think I could name at least 10 different types myself!

So glad I'm not in Pitt anymore!! haha I couldn't bear to see these runners even in Spring - casually running uphill when I had to struggle to walk and breathe at the same time :P (being grossly overloaded w cholesterol I'm sure)

I think the best snow with big fluffy snowflakes falls at the end of March - when you're heartily tired of it! :)
